Doxycycline Tablet is an antibiotic formulation which is used for treating acne, early Lyme disease, chlamydia infections, syphilis, & cholera. Active compound present in this medicine has molecular formula C22H24N2O8 with the molar mass of 444.43 g/mol. It shows a complete 100% of bioavailability with an excellent 90% of protein binding ability. This medicine gets metabolized in the liver with an elimination half-life of 15 to 25 hours and excretion in urine. In combination with quinine, Doxycycline Tablet is also indicated for the treatment of malaria. It works by binding to 30S subunit of bacterial ribosome and inhibit protein synthesis while causing their death. This tablet is highly effective in nature and assures targeted mode of action.
